This is a hybrid position, and the new employee will be expected to attend our central London office at least two days per week.
Etymax is a Translation Company based in central London. We are looking for a Translation Project Manager with fluent English and two other languages, (applicants with Hebrew or Korean will be at a particular advantage). An interest in science and medicine would also be an advantage.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
This role involves a mix of project management and in-house linguistic work. Responsibilities include:
- Performing in-house translation, revision, and quality control (QC) as needed.
- Managing projects throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.
- Building and maintaining translation memory and glossary databases.
- Handling client queries and maintaining a positive relationship with clients.
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Fluent English and in at least two other languages (ideally Hebrew or Korean). European languages and Arabic are also of interest.
- Ideally you will have an MA degree in Translation Studies or other language-focused subject.
- Excellent linguistic and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Good IT skills (Microsoft) and experience in the use of CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ, Phrase etc.). Knowledge of other file types (.indd, .ai etc.) and experience handling projects in a Project Management System would be a plus.
- Good client-handling skills
- Confidence in budgeting projects to achieve margin targets
- Prior translation agency project management experience is a bonus, but not a requirement
