Etymax is a Translation Company and Language Services Provider based in central London. We are looking for a Junior Translation Project Manager with fluent English and strong Italian. Applicants with Portuguese would also be welcome to apply (applicants with both will be looked on especially favourably). Good working knowledge of one or more other languages would also be an advantage. An interest in science and medicine would also be an advantage.

This role involves a mix of project management and in-house linguistic work. Responsibilities include: 

• Performing in-house translation, revision, and quality control (QC) as needed. 
• Managing projects throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to delivery. 
• Building and maintaining translation memory and glossary databases. 
• Handling client queries and maintaining a positive relationship with clients. 

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Fluent English, strong Italian and/or Portuguese and preferably knowledge of at least one other language. Of particular interest are other European languages, Hebrew, Arabic or Korean. 
• Ideally you will have an MA degree in Translation Studies or other language-focused subject. 
• Excellent linguistic and communication skills (verbal and written) 
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and able to think critically 
• Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines 
• Good IT skills (Microsoft) and experience in the use of CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ, Phrase etc.). Knowledge of other file types (.indd, .ai etc.) and experience handling projects in a Project Management System would be a plus. 
• Good client-handling skills 
• Confidence in budgeting projects to achieve margin targets 
• Prior translation agency project management experience is welcome, but not a requirement
